Description

Asyn remains are the remains of a deadly shade in Old School RuneScape. Players get them by killing Asyn shades in the Shade Catacombs during the Shades of Mort'ton minigame. Shades met during Temple Trekking can also drop them.

These remains are burned on a funeral pyre for Firemaking and Prayer experience. You need level 65 Firemaking, a tinderbox, and yew pyre logs or better. Yew pyre logs give 255 Firemaking XP. Better logs give more, up to 580 Firemaking XP with rosewood pyre logs. The hard Morytania Diary boosts the Prayer XP by 50 percent. The elite diary boosts the Firemaking XP by 50 percent.

Burning asyn remains has a 79 in 100 chance to give a black or silver shade key. If not, you get 800 to 900 coins. The keys open coloured doors to chests with valuable loot, or let you enter the catacombs. Keys and coins from the pyre stay safe from other players for five minutes.

Asyn remains are a members-only item. They are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to stock up on for fast Prayer and Firemaking training.
