Description
The Bag of Salt is a members-only Slayer item in Old School RuneScape. It is used to finish off rockslugs, a common Slayer monster. Rockslugs cannot be killed the normal way. When a rockslug drops below 5 Hitpoints, you use a bag of salt on it. The rockslug then dries up, shrinks, and dies. The bag of salt is used up each time.
Be careful with your timing. If you use a bag of salt on a rockslug that still has 5 or more Hitpoints, nothing happens. The bag is still consumed, so it is wasted.
A bag or pile of salt is also needed during the quest Icthlarin's Little Helper. This makes it useful for quest progress as well as Slayer tasks.
In the game, bags of salt are sold by any Slayer Master. They are also found at Slayer Equipment shops in places like Burthorpe, Draynor Village, Edgeville, Canifis, Zanaris, Mount Karuulm, the Tree Gnome Stronghold, and Shilo Village. Keeping a stock of them makes rockslug tasks quick and simple.
