Description
The Pile of salt is a quest item in Old School RuneScape. It is a small heap of salt. Players first get it during the quest Icthlarin's Little Helper. Its examine text reads: "A little heap of salt."
To make a pile of salt, use a bucket of saltwater on the suntrap in Sophanem. You need to have partly finished Icthlarin's Little Helper to do this. No tools are needed. The only material you need is one bucket of saltwater.
The pile of salt is a members item. It is tradeable and noteable. It is not stackable, and you cannot equip it. It weighs 0.5 kg. Its item ID is 4689, and it was released on 26 April 2005.
Keep in mind that a pile of salt is not the same as a bag of salt. You cannot use it to kill rockslugs. Its main use is tied to the Icthlarin's Little Helper quest.
