Description

The Barb-tail harpoon is a handy tool and weapon in Old School RuneScape. Players get it by trapping a barb-tailed kebbit, which needs level 33 Hunter. The kebbit always drops one harpoon.

This harpoon works just like a normal harpoon for Fishing. The big bonus is that you can wield it. That frees up one inventory space, so you can carry more fish. It has no minimum Attack level, unlike the dragon harpoon. That makes it a great pick for early-game fishers.

The Barb-tail harpoon also helps at Tempoross. The tide cannot wash it away if you fail to tether yourself to the mast. It can also be stored in a tackle box to keep your bank tidy.

As a weapon, it gives +9 Stab, +4 Slash, and a +6 Strength bonus. It has four combat styles: Stab, Lunge, Slash, and Block. Its examine text reads "A mighty Hunter weapon. One previous owner."
