Description

The Black mace is a fast melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is stronger than the steel mace and needs only 10 Attack to wield. It works in free-to-play worlds, so any player can use it.

This mace hits hard for its level. It gives +16 Crush, +8 Stab, and +13 Strength. It also gives a +2 Prayer bonus, which most swords do not. With an attack speed of 4 ticks, or 2.4 seconds per swing, it lands hits fast. That mix of speed and Prayer bonus makes it a solid pick for low level fighting.

The Black mace has four combat styles. Pound boosts Attack. Pummel boosts Strength. Spike uses stab and gives a small boost to Attack, Strength, and Defence. Block boosts Defence for safer training.

Like all black gear, this mace cannot be made with the Smithing skill. In the game it drops from dark warriors and comes from beginner clue scrolls and Camdozaal Vault lockboxes. Members can also get it from Cyclops in the Warriors' Guild basement. It is tradeable, easy to carry at 1.8 kg, and can be noted for storage.
