Description
The Steel mace is a one-handed weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is a spiky mace that is stronger than the iron mace. Any player with level 5 Attack can wield it, so it works well for new accounts and low level builds.
This mace hits fast, with an attack speed of 4, which means it swings every 2.4 seconds. It gives +7 Stab, +13 Crush, and a +11 Strength bonus. It also gives a +2 Prayer bonus, which is rare for a low level weapon. It has four combat styles: Pound, Pummel, Spike, and Block, so you can train Attack, Strength, or Defence with it.
The Steel mace is a free-to-play item. It is tradeable and weighs 1.814 kg. Players can also make one with level 32 Smithing using one steel bar, which gives 37.5 Smithing experience.
This mace has uses beyond combat. You need one for the quest In Search of the Myreque. It is also needed for an easy Treasure Trail emote clue at Mudskipper Point, where you perform the Wave emote while holding it.
