Description

The Black platebody (g) is a gold-trimmed version of the Black platebody in Old School RuneScape. It comes as a reward from easy Treasure Trails clue scrolls. It has the same stats as a normal Black platebody, so the gold trim is just for looks. Players wear it to stand out with a rare style at a low level.

You need level 10 Defence to wear it. It is a free-to-play item, so any player can use it. It cannot be made with the Smithing skill, which makes it harder to get than plain black armour.

For defence, it gives +41 Stab, +40 Slash, +30 Crush, and +40 Ranged, with -6 Magic. It lowers your Magic attack by 30 and your Ranged attack by 15, so it fits melee combat best.

The Black platebody (g) is tradeable, equipable, and noteable. It can also be stored in the treasure chest of a costume room in a player-owned house as part of the black gold-trimmed armour set. It is a simple way for low-level players to look sharp in combat or around town.
