Description
The black scimitar is a curved sword in Old School RuneScape. It is a strong pick for low level players. You need level 10 Attack to wield it. It hits a bit harder than the steel scimitar, so it is a nice step up early in the game.
This sword has a +19 slash bonus, a +4 stab bonus, and a +14 strength bonus. It swings fast, with an attack speed of 4 ticks, or 2.4 seconds. That quick speed makes it great for training combat skills. You can use the Chop, Slash, Lunge, or Block styles to train Attack, Strength, or Defence.
Like all black gear, you cannot make this sword with the Smithing skill. In the game, it spawns in King Lathas' castle in East Ardougne, but you need level 61 Thieving to get in. Gangsters and Gang bosses can also drop it. It is a tradeable and noteable item, and it weighs 1.8 kg.
The black scimitar is a solid weapon for new accounts and low level builds. It gives fast hits and good slash power at a very low Attack level.
