Description

The Black shield (h5) is a black kiteshield with a heraldic design on the front. It comes as a reward from easy Treasure Trails in Old School RuneScape. It has the same bonuses as a regular Black kiteshield, so the only real difference is the crest painted on it. Players who want a shield that stands out can use this one without giving up any stats.

You need 10 Defence to equip this shield. It is not members-only, so free-to-play players can use it too. It gives +17 Stab, +19 Slash, +18 Crush, and +18 Ranged defence, with -1 Magic defence. It has no attack bonuses in melee and gives -8 Magic and -3 Ranged attack.

This shield cannot be made with the Smithing skill, so clue rewards and trading are the ways to get it. It is tradeable and noteable, and it can be stored in the treasure chest of a costume room in a player-owned house. That makes it easy to keep as part of a heraldic outfit or a clue reward collection.
