Description

Black spiky vambraces are hand armour in Old School RuneScape. They are black dragonhide vambraces with kebbit claws added to them. You need level 70 Ranged to wear them.

These vambraces give a Ranged attack bonus of +11, which makes them a solid pick for rangers. They also add +2 to Strength, which normal black d'hide vambraces do not have. The spikes give a small boost to melee defence too. For defence, they offer +6 Stab, +5 Slash, +7 Crush, and +8 Magic. The only downside is a -10 penalty to Magic attack.

Players can make black spiky vambraces with level 32 Crafting. It takes one pair of black dragonhide vambraces and one set of kebbit claws. Making them gives 6 Crafting experience. Kebbit claws come from the Hunter skill or from trading with other players.

This item is a good choice for any ranger who wants extra strength and melee defence without giving up Ranged power. The item used to be called Black spiky vambs, but the name was changed to Black spiky vambraces in April 2020.
