Description
The black warhammer is a one-handed melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is stronger than the steel warhammer and needs level 10 Strength to wield. This makes it a solid crush weapon for low level accounts that want to train early combat skills.
The weapon gives a +22 crush attack bonus and a +22 strength bonus. It swings once every 3.6 seconds and hits from one tile away. It has three combat styles. Pound trains Attack, Pummel trains Strength, and Block trains Defence. All three styles use the crush attack type.
The black warhammer has a handy extra use. Players can use it in place of a regular hammer to bang the big door at the entrance of Bandos' Stronghold in the God Wars Dungeon. This saves an inventory spot for anyone heading to that boss area.
Like all black equipment, this warhammer cannot be made with the Smithing skill. Members can buy it from Vigr's Warhammers in Keldagrim or Skulgrimen's Battle Gear in Rellekka. It weighs about 1.8 kg, so it is light to carry on any trip.
