Description

The Blood'n'tar snelm is a helmet in Old School RuneScape made from a red and black Mort Myre snail shell. It is a members item with no requirements to wear, so any player can put it on right away.

The snelm's main job is to reduce damage taken from snails by 12. This makes it a smart pick when fighting giant snails in the Temple Trekking and Burgh de Rott Ramble minigames, or lower level snails in the swamp. If you do not have Protect from Missiles, the damage reduction is a big help.

Its defence stats match a steel med helm. It gives +7 Stab, +8 Slash, +6 Crush, and +7 Ranged defence, with a small -1 Magic defence. On attack, it has -3 Magic and -1 Ranged. The helmet weighs 2 kg and is tradeable, equipable, and noteable.

Players can also craft this snelm at level 15 Crafting by using a chisel on a round Blamish red shell. This gives 32.5 Crafting experience. In level two clue scrolls, it is called the round red and black snelm.
