The Bookcase flatpack is a members item in Old School RuneScape. It is a packed piece of furniture for your player-owned house. You can place it on the Bookcase space in the parlour, quest hall, or study. To build it, you need a hammer and a saw in your inventory.
Once built, the bookcase holds the many books you find during your adventures in the game. It keeps your books in one place so you do not need to store them in your bank.
Making this flatpack yourself takes level 4 Construction. You need 4 planks, 4 steel nails, and a wooden workbench in your house workshop. Crafting it gives 115 Construction experience and takes about 3 seconds. Building the bookcase from the flatpack also gives 115 experience.
The flatpack is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and trade. It weighs 1 kg and cannot be equipped or stacked. This item was released on 31 May 2006. It is a simple and cheap way to add useful storage to your house or to train Construction at a low level.
