Description
The broken zombie axe is the broken form of the zombie axe in Old School RuneScape. It is an old rusty axe that must be repaired before it can be used. Armoured zombies drop it in Zemouregal's Base at a rate of 1 in 800, and their stronger level 105 versions drop it in Zemouregal's Fort at a rate of 1 in 600.
To fix the axe, a player needs level 70 Smithing, a hammer in their inventory, and an anvil. Skill boosts work for the repair. Fixing the axe also gives 500 Smithing experience. The axe cannot be fixed at an armour stand. Players who inspect the axe without 70 Smithing are told they need that level to repair it.
The broken zombie axe is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and sell. It cannot be worn in its broken state, and it does not stack. It weighs 2.721 kg and has item ID 28813. This item is a good pick for players who want the zombie axe without grinding the drop, or for those who want quick Smithing experience from the repair.
