Description
The zombie axe is a strong one-handed melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. You need 65 Attack to wield it. It hits with a slash bonus of +105, a crush bonus of +90, and a strength bonus of +107. Its slash bonus and strength bonus are higher than any other one-handed weapon in the game.
The axe attacks every 5 ticks, or 3 seconds. Against enemies with low defence, it does a bit less damage than the dragon scimitar. But against enemies weak to crush, or enemies with high defence like gargoyles, it can even beat the abyssal whip. That makes it a great pick for midgame players moving up from dragon-tier weapons.
The zombie axe has other handy uses too. Its high slash bonus always cuts webs on the first try, which helps when fighting Sarachnis. It also counts as an axe for fixing bridges in Temple Trekking.
The axe comes from a broken zombie axe, a drop from armoured zombies. Repairing it at an anvil needs 70 Smithing and gives 500 Smithing XP. Buying the finished zombie axe skips the long grind for the drop and the Smithing work.
