The Bronze battleaxe is the weakest battleaxe in Old School RuneScape. It only needs level 1 Attack to wield, so any account can use it. This makes it a solid pick for brand new characters who want a melee weapon right away.

It is a slash weapon, so it works well against monsters that are weak to slash attacks. It has a +6 slash bonus, a +3 crush bonus, and a +9 strength bonus. It swings once every 3.6 seconds and hits targets one tile away.

The axe has four combat styles. Chop trains Attack. Hack and Smash train Strength. Block trains Defence. This lets players train the skill they want with one weapon.

Players with level 10 Smithing can make this axe from three bronze bars. It can also drop from monsters like Barbarians, Dwarves, Gunthor the Brave, the Black Guard, and Orks. In the game it is described as a vicious looking axe.

This weapon is a simple and cheap choice for low level melee training. It gets a new account into combat fast without any skill requirements beyond level 1 Attack.
