Description
The bronze bar is a basic metal bar in Old School RuneScape. It is made with the Smithing skill at level 1 by smelting one copper ore and one tin ore in a furnace. Smelting a bar gives 6.2 Smithing experience.
Bronze bars are used to make bronze weapons and armour on an anvil. Each bar gives 12.5 experience when smithed. Players can make items like the bronze dagger, bronze axe, bronze scimitar, and bronze kite shield. The bronze platebody needs level 18 Smithing, uses 5 bars, and gives 62.5 experience, the most of any bronze item.
These bars are also needed for quests. Observatory Quest, Prince Ali Rescue, and One Small Favour each need 1 bar. The Tourist Trap needs 1 to 3 bars. Creature of Fenkenstrain and Recipe for Disaster's Pirate Pete part each need 3 bronze wires, which are made from bronze bars.
The bronze bar is tradeable and noteable, but it cannot be equipped or stacked. It is a great pick for new players who want to train Smithing fast or finish early quests without mining and smelting ores themselves.
