Description
The Bronze chainbody is a chest armour piece in Old School RuneScape. It needs only level 1 Defence to wear, so every player can put it on. It is a free-to-play item and one of the most basic chest pieces in the game.
The chainbody gives +7 Stab, +11 Slash, +13 Crush, and +9 Ranged defence. It lowers Magic attack by 15 and Magic defence by 3. It weighs 6.8 kg.
Players with level 11 Smithing can make one at an anvil with 3 bronze bars and a hammer. This grants Smithing experience. The item also spawns in the Dwarven Mine and is sold at Wayne's Chains in Falador and Horvik's Armour Shop in Varrock. Zombies in Tarn's Lair and Duke Sucellus can drop it too.
The Bronze chainbody has a use in Treasure Trails. An Easy tier emote clue asks players to wear it and perform the Jig emote at the STASH spot by the Fishing Guild entrance. This makes it handy to keep for clue hunting.
The item is tradeable, equipable, and noteable. Its examine text reads: "A series of connected metal rings."
