Description

The Bronze longsword is a melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is the weakest longsword in the game, and any player can wield it. There are no level requirements, so it works well for brand new accounts and low level builds.

This sword gives +4 stab, +5 slash, and a +7 strength bonus. It also gives small defence bonuses of +3 slash and +2 crush. It swings at a speed of 5 ticks, which is one attack every 3 seconds, and it hits targets 1 tile away.

The Bronze longsword has four combat styles. Chop and Slash use slash attacks. Lunge uses stab. Block is a defensive slash style. This lets players train Attack, Strength, Defence, or shared stats with one weapon.

Players with level 6 Smithing can make this sword from 2 bronze bars for 25 Smithing experience. It can also be bought at the Varrock Swordshop or the Warrior Guild Armoury. Monsters like chaos druids, zombies, and Salarin the Twisted can drop it too. It weighs about 1.8 kg. Pick up a Bronze longsword to arm a fresh character right away.
