Description

The bronze sword is a low level weapon in Old School RuneScape. Every player gets one from Vannaka on Tutorial Island, so it is often the first blade a new account uses. It works for both free players and members, and it can be traded to other players.

This sword gives +4 stab, +3 slash, and a +5 strength bonus. It also adds small defence bonuses of +2 slash and +1 crush. It has four combat styles. Stab trains Attack, Lunge and Slash train Strength, and Block trains Defence. All styles also train Hitpoints. This makes it a solid pick for training any melee skill at low levels.

Players can also make the bronze sword at level 4 Smithing. It takes one bronze bar and an anvil, and it gives 12.5 Smithing experience. It is sold in shops like the Varrock Swordshop, the Warrior Guild Armoury, Briget's Weapons in Shayzien, and the Cam Torum Blacksmith. One also spawns on the western coast of Feldip Hills.

The sword weighs 1.8 kg and can be noted for easy storage. Its examine text reads "A razor sharp sword."
