Bronze wire is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. Players make it by using one bronze bar on an anvil with a hammer in their inventory. This needs level 4 Smithing and gives 12.5 Smithing XP. Each wire takes about 3 seconds to make.
Bronze wire is useful for crafting items. It is also needed in some quests. A total of 7 are used in quests. Creature of Fenkenstrain needs 3 unnoted wires. Freeing Pirate Pete, a part of Recipe for Disaster, needs 3 wires. Shilo Village needs 1 wire.
Buying bronze wire saves time. Players can skip smithing the bars and get right to their quest or crafting task. It is a small and light item, weighing only 0.005 kg, so it is easy to carry.
Bronze wire is tradeable and can be noted, but it does not stack in a regular inventory. It cannot be worn or equipped. Its high alchemy value is 12 coins and its low alchemy value is 8 coins. Grab bronze wire and check off those quest steps without extra work at the anvil.
