Description

Bryophyta's staff (uncharged) is a magic staff in Old School RuneScape. It needs level 30 Attack and Magic to wield. Players want it because it saves nature runes and hits hard in melee for its level.

The staff can hold up to 1,000 nature runes as charges. While charged and equipped, it counts as if the player is holding that many nature runes. Every time a spell that uses a nature rune is cast, there is a 1 in 15 chance the staff saves one rune. Pair it with a tome of fire to boost profits from High Level Alchemy.

It has the highest Magic Attack and Magic Defence bonuses in free-to-play, with +15 in each. It also has +40 Crush and +50 Strength, so it works like a rune longsword for crush attacks. It is the highest DPS melee weapon for Attack levels 30 to 39. It can autocast spells from the Standard spellbook, Arceuus spellbook, and Ancient Magicks.

The staff is also needed for one master clue scroll emote clue. Note that the staff is untradeable while it holds any charges, so this version comes uncharged.
