Description

The Tome of fire (empty) is a magic book in Old School RuneScape. You hold it in your shield slot. It needs level 50 Magic to wield. While empty, it gives +8 magic attack and +8 magic defence. It also counts as a warm item at the Wintertodt, and the tome comes from the Reward Cart after subduing the Wintertodt. The tome is only tradeable when it is empty.

The tome can hold up to 1,000 pages. You can charge it with burnt pages or searing pages, and each page adds 20 charges. Only one type of page can be inside at a time. With at least one charge, the tome gives you infinite fire runes while equipped. Non-combat spells do not use up charges.

A charged tome makes fire spells from the standard spellbook hit 10% harder against NPCs and 50% harder against players. This works with Fire Strike, Fire Bolt, Fire Blast, Fire Wave, and Fire Surge. Each cast uses one charge. With searing pages, the minimum hit rises to 10% of the spell's max hit. You can also trade empty tomes to Ignisia for 250 burnt pages each.
