The Bucket of water is a simple but useful item in Old School RuneScape. It is made by using an empty bucket on a water source, such as a fountain, a sink, or a well. A bucket is the only vessel that can be filled from a well.
This item has many everyday uses. You can use it to turn clay into soft clay, which helps with Crafting. You can also use it to fill a watering can for Farming. Since May 2020, you can even pour water from a bucket into vials.
A bucket of water is needed in several quests. These include Demon Slayer, Prince Ali Rescue, Clock Tower, Plague City, Temple of the Eye, and Recipe for Disaster. It is also used in the Skippy and the Mogres miniquest. In Plague City, it softens the soil outside Edmond's house. In Clock Tower, it cools the black cog.
The bucket of water is tradeable and noteable, but it does not stack and cannot be worn. It weighs 3 kg. This is a handy item for skilling and questing, so it is smart to keep some in your bank.
