Description

The Bullseye lantern (unf) is an unfinished bullseye lantern in Old School RuneScape. It is the steel frame of the lantern before a lens is added. Players make this frame at an anvil with a steel bar. This takes level 49 Smithing and gives 37.5 Smithing XP.

The frame becomes a light source once you add a lens. Add a glass lantern lens to make a Bullseye lantern (empty). The glass lens can be made with level 49 Crafting by blowing glass. Add a cut sapphire to make a sapphire lantern, which is needed for the Tears of Guthix and While Guthix Sleeps quests. Add an emerald lens to make an emerald lantern for the Lunar Diplomacy quest.

Finished bullseye lanterns run on lamp oil. You can get lamp oil by distilling swamp tar at the Chemist's House in Rimmington or at Miltog's Lamps in Dorgesh-Kaan. Lighting the lantern with a tinderbox takes level 49 Firemaking. Lighting one at the Chemist's House is a task in the Falador Medium Diary.
