Description
The Claws of Callisto are a rare item in Old School RuneScape. They are the claws of a great bear, and they still hold some of his power. Players use them for one main goal. The claws upgrade Viggora's chainmace into the ursine chainmace, a strong weapon.
To make the upgrade, you need level 85 Smithing. If your Smithing level is too low, Andros Mai in Ferox Enclave can combine the items for you. He charges a fee of 500,000 coins. If you change your mind later, you can take the uncharged weapon apart. This gives you back the chainmace and the claws.
The claws drop from two Wilderness bosses. Callisto, a level 470 boss, drops them at a rate of 1 in 196. Artio, a level 320 boss, drops them at a rate of 1 in 618. Getting one on your own can take many kills.
The Claws of Callisto are tradeable and noteable. They cannot be equipped and do not stack. The item weighs 2 kg and has the item ID 27667. Buying the claws saves you time and lets you skip the long boss grind.
