Description

The death talisman is a members item in Old School RuneScape. It lets players enter the Death Altar, the place where death runes are crafted. The Death Altar sits inside the Temple of Light, which is found during the Mourning's End Part II quest.

To make death runes at the altar, players need level 65 Runecraft. Runes are crafted there from rune essence or pure essence. Death runes are a strong choice for players who want to level the Runecraft skill or earn gold from runes.

The talisman can also be turned into a death tiara. Use a tiara on the Death Altar while holding the talisman. This gives 50 Runecraft experience. The talisman is used up, but the death tiara works the same way and can be worn on the head. This frees up one inventory space when crafting death runes.

In the game, this talisman drops from dark beasts, which need level 90 Slayer. It can also be earned during Mourning's End Part II, from the Guardians of the Rift minigame, or from the Rewards Guardian. The item is tradeable, not stackable, and cannot be equipped.
