Description
The Demon tear is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a strange glowing tear that you can trade with other players. It stacks in your inventory and weighs nothing.
Demon tears have two main uses. You can use them to charge the Eye of Ayak instead of using runes. You also need them to make the Avernic treads and the Confliction gauntlets. It takes 12,000 tears to fully upgrade the Avernic treads and their base parts. The Confliction gauntlets need 10,000 tears. That means you need 22,000 tears in total to make both items.
In the game, Demon tears drop from the Doom of Mokhaiotl. This boss always drops 50 tears, and it can also drop 100 to 300 tears as a rare reward. Players with level 80 Woodcutting can also chop infected roots in the Ruins of Mokhaiotl to collect tears without fighting. Dismantling an Eye of Ayak gives 10,000 tears as well.
