The Dragon battleaxe is a strong melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It needs 60 Attack and the Heroes' Quest to wield. It has a slash bonus of +70, a crush bonus of +65, and a big strength bonus of +85.
The real reason players want this axe is its special attack, Rampage. It uses 100% of the special attack energy. It drains Attack, Defence, Ranged, and Magic by 10%, but it boosts Strength by 10 plus a quarter of the levels drained. The boost can reach up to +21. That is like a super strength potion, and a player with 99 Strength can hit 120 with the right boosts. Players often use Rampage, then switch to a stronger weapon to fight.
A restore potion brings back the drained stats. Drinking from a fancy or ornate rejuvenation pool removes the stat drain and the special energy cost while keeping the Strength boost. The axe is also popular in Pest Control, since the special attack meter refills after each game.
