Description
Dragon limbs are crossbow limbs in Old School RuneScape. They are made from orikalkum, a strong dragon metal. Players cannot make these limbs with the Smithing skill, so they must be found as a drop or traded from another player.
The main use for dragon limbs is fletching. Attach the limbs to a magic stock to make a dragon crossbow (u). This needs level 78 Fletching and a hammer. The work gives 135 Fletching experience. The dragon crossbow is a powerful ranged weapon, so these limbs are a key part for any player who wants to fletch one.
Dragon limbs drop from two monsters. Rune dragons, which are level 380, drop them at a rate of 1 in 800. Adamant dragons, which are level 338, drop them at a rate of 1 in 1,000. These low drop rates make the limbs rare and worth a lot to other players.
The limbs weigh 3.2 kg. Buying dragon limbs saves hours of dragon kills and lets a player move straight to fletching a dragon crossbow or selling the limbs for profit.
