The Dragon longsword is one of the strongest longswords in Old School RuneScape. To wield it, you need at least 60 Attack and you must finish the Lost City quest. It is a great pick for players buying their first dragon weapon. It costs less than other dragon weapons but still hits hard.
The sword has a slash attack bonus of +69, a stab bonus of +58, and a strength bonus of +71. Its attack speed is 5 ticks. You can use four combat styles: Chop, Slash, Lunge, and Block. This makes it good for training Attack, Strength, or Defence.
The Dragon longsword has a special attack called Cleave. It raises your maximum hit for one strike and uses 25% of your special attack energy. This can help you land a big hit in a fight.
Players cannot make this sword with the Smithing skill. Before the abyssal whip and dragon scimitar came out in 2005, this was a top choice for player killing and training. It is still a solid weapon for mid-level players who want strong melee damage at a fair price.
