Description
The Elkhorn frag is a coral piece in Old School RuneScape. Players plant it in a coral nursery, a farming patch found in the Coral Nurseries just off the eastern coast of the Great Conch. It takes level 28 Farming to plant one frag, and it grows into elkhorn coral in 160 minutes.
Elkhorn coral is a useful crop. Players harvest it to make anti-odour salts and haemostatic dressings. Each fully grown plant gives at least 4 coral, and the yield can vary. There is also a chance to keep a harvest life based on the player's Farming level. Planting gives 20.5 Farming experience, and each harvest gives 24 experience.
Compost does not work on coral nursery patches, so it cannot boost the crop. Players can pay a nearby farmer 5 giant seaweed to protect the plant instead. The crop does not regrow, so a new frag is needed for each planting.
