Giant seaweed is a bigger version of normal seaweed in Old School RuneScape. It is a members only item that is tradeable and noteable. It weighs 0.2 kg.

Giant seaweed is great for training Crafting. When you use it with the Superglass Make spell, one giant seaweed counts as six normal seaweed and gives 60 Crafting experience per seaweed. Two giant seaweed and 12 buckets of sand make about 1.45 molten glass per bucket of sand. This makes it a top pick for players who want fast Crafting levels or lots of molten glass.

You can also use giant seaweed on a fire or range to make soda ash. One giant seaweed gives 6 soda ash, but it can fail and give only one. At 51 Cooking or higher, you will never fail, even on a fire.

Giant seaweed grows from seaweed spores at level 23 Farming and takes about 40 minutes to grow. Each one you pick gives 21 Farming experience. You can also pay 5 giant seaweed to Chet to watch over a growing Elkhorn frag.
