Description

The Elysian spirit shield is one of the best defensive shields in Old School RuneScape. You need 75 Defence and 75 Prayer to wield it. It gives strong melee and ranged defence bonuses and has the highest crush defence of any shield in the game.

The shield has a powerful passive effect. It has a 70% chance to reduce the damage you take by 25%. On average, this cuts your damage taken by 17.5%. The effect stacks with the Justiciar armour set effect. It works very well against monsters that hit low and often, like the Kraken. It does not work on some things, such as dragonfire special attacks or poison.

Its defence bonuses are +63 stab, +65 slash, +75 crush, +2 magic, and +57 ranged. It also gives a +3 prayer bonus.

The shield is made by attaching an Elysian sigil, a rare drop from the Corporeal Beast, to a blessed spirit shield. This needs 90 Prayer and 85 Smithing, or Abbot Langley can do it for 1,500,000 coins. Players use this shield for high-level PvM fights where taking less damage matters most.
