Description

The Etched elder venator fang is a rare item in Old School RuneScape. It starts as an elder venator fang, which drops from the Maggot King, a level 741 boss, at a rate of 1 in 333. A player with level 84 Crafting can use a chisel on the fang to etch it with powerful runes. Unlike the base fang, the etched version can be traded with other players.

The main use for this item is making the necklace of rupture. To do this, combine the etched fang with a necklace of anguish. This needs level 84 Crafting and gives 500 Crafting experience. The process must be done near a bank, and it cannot be undone. Both the fang and the necklace are used up when they combine.

This is a members-only item. It weighs almost nothing at 0.001 kg, so it is easy to carry. It cannot be worn on its own, and it does not stack in the inventory. Buying the etched fang lets a player skip the long grind of boss drops and go straight to making one of the game's strong necklaces.
