Description

The Guam seed is a Farming seed in Old School RuneScape. Plant it in a herb patch at level 9 Farming to grow grimy guam leaves. When cleaned, guam leaves are used in Herblore to make potions. This makes the Guam seed a solid pick for players training both Farming and Herblore at low levels.

Each planting uses one seed and takes 80 minutes to grow, split into four stages of 20 minutes. Planting gives 11 Farming experience and each harvest gives 12.5 experience. Yield starts at 3 or more leaves and varies. Guam has at least 3 harvest lives, and each tier of compost adds one more, up to 6 with ultracompost. Higher Farming levels also give a better chance to keep a harvest life when picking leaves.

Nearby gardeners will not watch over herb patches, and a white lily will not protect them from disease, so compost helps. One Guam seed can also be used on the skilling pet Tangleroot to change how it looks. In the game, these seeds come from monsters, seed packs, and Master Farmers, and the Garden of Tranquillity quest rewards five of them.
