Buy OSRS Impling jar

Description

The impling jar is a special item in Old School RuneScape. It is a butterfly jar that has been treated with imp repellent. Players use it to catch implings in the Impetuous Impulses minigame and all across Gielinor. It cannot be used to catch butterflies.

Impling jars are a key tool for the Hunter skill. Each impling type needs a certain Hunter level to catch. Baby implings need level 17, while dragon implings need level 83. Catching an impling with your bare hands needs a level that is 10 higher.

Once you catch an impling, you can open the jar to get loot. The jar has a 10% chance of breaking when you open it. Jars can also be stored in the huntsman's kit to save inventory space.

Making a jar yourself takes many steps. You need to crush cooked anchovies into paste, make anchovy oil with a sieve and vial, add flowers to make imp repellent, and use a lamp oil still in Rimmington to coat a butterfly jar. Buying jars skips all of that work, so you can start hunting implings right away.
