The Jug of wine is a cheap and popular food item in Old School RuneScape. Drinking one restores 11 Hitpoints and lowers your Attack by 2 for a short time. It leaves an empty jug behind after you drink it. Because it costs so little, many players use it as low cost food, especially for activities that do not use much run energy since it weighs 1.5 kg.
Players make a jug of wine by using grapes on a jug of water. This needs level 35 Cooking. Each jug that ferments gives 200 Cooking experience, which makes wine a cheap and fast way to train Cooking. At level 35 the wine turns out well about 60% of the time, and at level 68 it never fails. Failed jugs become jugs of bad wine.
