Description
The Kebbit spike is a bone spike in Old School RuneScape. It is both very tough and very sharp. Players get these spikes by deadfall trapping prickly kebbits, which needs level 37 Hunter. Each catch gives one spike. Players can also trade with other players to get them.
Kebbit spikes are the key material for making kebbit bolts. With level 32 Fletching, use a chisel on a spike to make twelve kebbit bolts. Each spike gives 6 Fletching experience. Kebbit bolts are the ammo for the Hunter's crossbow, so these spikes matter to any player who uses that weapon.
There is another way to turn a spike into bolts. Bring a kebbit spike and 20 coins to Leon inside Aleck's Hunter Emporium in Yanille. He will swap it for 12 kebbit bolts. This helps players who do not have the Fletching level yet.
The spike weighs only 0.02 kg, so it is easy to carry. Since 20 March 2024, each spike makes twelve bolts instead of six, which makes every spike worth twice as much ammo.
