Description

The Kraken tentacle is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a rare drop from cave krakens and the Kraken boss in the Kraken Cove, found south-west of the Piscatoris Fishing Colony. You need at least level 87 Slayer to get it as a drop. The tentacle is tradeable and can be noted.

Its main use is upgrading the abyssal whip. Use the tentacle on a whip to make the abyssal tentacle, a stronger weapon that needs level 75 Attack to wield. The combined weapon degrades after 10,000 hits. When it degrades, the whip is used up and only the tentacle is left. The combined item cannot be traded, and the whip cannot be taken back out.

Kraken tentacles also improve tridents. Give ten tentacles to Lieve McCracken to enhance a trident of the seas or trident of the swamp. An enhanced trident holds 20,000 charges instead of 2,500. Ten tentacles combined with an uncharged trident or uncharged toxic trident make the enhanced version. Every trident you enhance needs ten tentacles.
