Lava dragon bones are a Prayer training item in Old School RuneScape. They drop only from lava dragons on Lava Dragon Isle in the Wilderness. These bones are members only, tradeable, and noteable.

The bones give strong Prayer experience. Burying one on Lava Dragon Isle gives 340 XP. Burying it anywhere else gives 85 XP. A gilded altar with two burners lit gives 297.5 XP per bone. The Ectofuntus gives 340 XP when the bones are turned into bonemeal. The best average comes from the Chaos Temple in the Wilderness. Each offering there gives 297.5 XP with a 50% chance to keep the bone, so the average is 595 XP.

Blessed bone shards from these bones give 340 XP at the libation bowl, or 408 XP with a jug of blessed sunfire wine. Sinister Offering and the sacred bone burner each give 255 XP. Zealot's robes add a 5% chance to save bones with any method.
