Description

Superior dragon bones are the best bones for Prayer training in Old School RuneScape. They give more Prayer experience than any other bone in the game. You need a Prayer level of 70 to use them, and this level cannot be boosted. They are the only bones with a Prayer level requirement.

Burying one bone gives 150 Prayer experience. You can get much more by offering them in other ways. A gilded altar with two burners lit gives 525 experience per bone. The Ectofuntus gives 600 experience when the bones are turned into bonemeal. The Chaos Temple in the Wilderness gives 525 experience per offering, plus a 50 percent chance to keep the bone, so it averages 1050 experience.

These bones drop every time you kill Vorkath. Frost dragons also drop them as an uncommon drop. They have another use too. You can crush them with a pestle and mortar to make crushed superior dragon bones. This is an ingredient in super antifire potions, which need level 92 Herblore to make.
