Description
The leaf-bladed sword is a one-handed melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is one of only three melee weapons that can harm turoths and kurasks. The other two are the leaf-bladed spear and the leaf-bladed battleaxe. You need level 50 Attack and level 55 Slayer to wield it.
The sword gives +67 stab, +62 slash, and +50 strength. It attacks fast, with a speed of 4 ticks. Because it is one-handed, you can pair it with a shield or a defender. Compared to the leaf-bladed spear, it is faster and has better stab and slash bonuses.
The sword also works well against monsters weak to stab, like chromatic or metal dragons. Its stab bonus matches the dragon scimitar's slash bonus. With a defender, it can beat the dragon scimitar in stab accuracy, though its strength bonus is lower and it has no special attack.
Players with level 65 Attack should use the leaf-bladed battleaxe instead. The axe has better stats and a 17.5% damage boost against turoths and kurasks. For players under that level, the sword is a strong choice for these Slayer tasks.
