Description
The Lobster pot is a fishing tool in Old School RuneScape. Players use it to catch lobsters at cage fishing spots. You need level 40 Fishing to catch lobsters. Keep the pot in your inventory and click on a cage fishing spot to start fishing.
Lobsters are a common healing food. Each one restores 12 Hitpoints, so many players cook them for combat and training. The lobster pot is also used to catch dark crabs. Dark crab fishing spots are only found in the Wilderness and need level 85 Fishing.
The lobster pot has a use in quests too. In Dragon Slayer I, one pot is needed to open a magic door in the Dwarven Mine and get a map piece.
This item is free-to-play, so any account can use it. It is tradeable and noteable, but it cannot be equipped or stacked. It weighs 0.255 kg. Its high alch value is 12 coins and its low alch value is 8 coins. A lobster pot spawn can be found inside the Fishing Guild. The item was released on 11 June 2001 and is still a key tool for training Fishing.
