Description

The dark crab is a food item in Old School RuneScape. Eating one restores 22 Hitpoints in a single bite. That makes it one of the best instant healing foods in the game, right behind the marlin and equal to the manta ray, anglerfish, and tuna potato. It is also the lightest food in that group at just 0.35 kg, so it is easy to carry a full inventory.

Dark crabs are strong picks for combat. The big heal helps players stay alive in tough fights, like boss battles or trips into the Wilderness. Since each crab heals so much, players can bring fewer food items and more supplies.

Getting dark crabs on your own is hard work. Raw dark crabs are found only in the Wilderness and need level 85 Fishing, a lobster pot, and dark fishing bait. Cooking one takes level 90 Cooking, and they burn often even at high levels. Buying them skips all of that.

Dark crabs are a members-only item and are tradeable. Stock up on dark crabs and keep your Hitpoints high when it matters most.
