Magic string is a members item in Old School RuneScape. It is used in the Crafting skill to make jewellery. Players make it by spinning one magic root on a spinning wheel. This needs level 19 Crafting and gives 30 Crafting XP.

The main use for magic string is making an amulet of nature. Use the string on an emerald amulet (u) to make a pre-nature amulet. This step needs level 4 Crafting and gives 4 XP. Then enchant the pre-nature amulet to turn it into an amulet of nature.

Magic string is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy and move around. It is not stackable and cannot be worn. It weighs almost nothing at 0.014 kg. Its examine text says "I could use this to make jewellery."
