Description

Magic roots come from the magic tree in Old School RuneScape. Players normally get them with the Farming skill. It takes level 75 Farming to grow a magic tree in a tree patch. After the tree is chopped down, the roots can be dug up from the stump with a spade.

These roots have several handy uses. Put them in a compost bin to make supercompost, which helps other crops grow. With level 19 Crafting, spin them on a spinning wheel to make magic string. Magic string is needed to make the Amulet of nature. Other tree roots make crossbow string instead, so this use makes magic roots special. Players training Herblore also use magic roots to make antidote++, a strong cure for poison.

Magic roots are stackable, so they take up only one spot in your inventory or bank. They are also very light at 0.001 kg. Digging up at least 3 magic roots from a stump in Falador Park is an elite task in the Falador Diary.
