The Odium shard 3 is one of three shards needed to make the Odium ward in Old School RuneScape. This shard drops from Scorpia, a level 225 boss in the Wilderness, at a rate of 1 in 256. The item is tradeable and noteable, so buying it saves you from long boss trips in dangerous territory.
To forge the Odium ward, you need Odium shard 1, Odium shard 2, and Odium shard 3 in your inventory. Then take all three to the Volcanic Forge at the Blighted Volcano. It sits in the far north-east corner of the Wilderness.
The Odium ward is a Ranged shield that needs 60 Defence to wield. It gives +12 Ranged Attack, +4 Ranged Strength, +52 Ranged Defence, and +24 Magic Defence. Only the dragonfire ward and the twisted buckler beat it for Ranged Attack and Ranged Strength in the shield slot. That makes it a strong pick for rangers who want more damage without a top-tier price.
