Description

Olive oil(4) is a full four dose vial of olive oil in Old School RuneScape. It is a members item used in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame and quest. The vial is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs very little.

The main use of olive oil is to make sacred oil. Once the Temple of Mort'ton is repaired and the altar is lit, players can use olive oil on the fire to bless it. Turning a four dose vial into sacred oil uses about 3.6% sanctity, and players need at least 10% sanctity to do it.

Sacred oil is used to make pyre logs. Adding oil to logs gives 5 Firemaking experience per dose. Low level logs need 2 doses, mid level logs need 3 doses, and high level logs need 4 doses. Pyre logs let players cremate shade remains, which gives keys to the Shade Catacombs and its reward chests. Cremating also gives Firemaking and Prayer experience.

A four dose vial saves inventory space compared to smaller vials, so it is a smart pick for players training Firemaking or farming the Shade Catacombs in Mort'ton.
