Description
The opal machete is a members-only tool in Old School RuneScape. It cuts jungle faster than a normal machete. Jade and red topaz machetes are still faster, but the opal machete is a solid step up from the basic one.
There are no requirements to wield it. Cutting jungle still needs Woodcutting levels. Light jungle needs level 10, medium jungle needs level 20, and dense jungle needs level 35. Most players use this machete in the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame, where cutting jungle earns favour and trading sticks.
The opal machete also works as a weapon. It gives a +8 slash attack bonus, a +4 strength bonus, and small defence bonuses of +1 to slash and +1 to crush. It has four combat styles: Chop, Slash, Lunge, and Block.
In the game, this item can come from Gabooty's store for 600 trading sticks, or 500 with Karamja gloves. It can also drop from a ninja impling. Safta Doc in Tai Bwo Wannai can make one from 300 trading sticks, 3 opals, and 1 gout tuber. Having Safta Doc make it completes a Karamja medium diary task.
